Libya: Obama supports Al-Qaeda backed rebels says ex-CIA operative

An ex CIA operative reports on Russia televsion that the Obama administration supports Al-Qaieda led rebels in Libya that are engaged in human rights atrocitries against Libyans in order to oppose "socialism" in Libya.

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi's regime.

Libyan rebel forces have been responsible for looting, arson and the abuse of civilians in their push toward Tripoli, Human Rights Watch alleged on Wednesday.

The group said it “witnessed some of these acts, interviewed witnesses to others, and spoke with a rebel commander about the abuses.”

Human rights abuses by U.S. backed Al Qaeda rebels include rape, torture, and mutilations against innocent civilians. That is the kind of governance that the U.S. is backing in Libya would be far worse than the current Ghadaffi government.

The abuses were said to have taken place in June and July — as recently as last week — as rebel forces pushed through the Nafusa Mountains to the south of Tripoli.
