Kashmir: Indian inaugurates International Conference







(Srinagar) -- Hoping to see the revival of the traditional silk route in future to restore the age-old socio-economic and cultural relations between parts of Central Asia and India Union Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid has said that the country has aspirations in the region of Central Asia and there are many areas where the two regions can get benefitted from bilateral cooperation.

While delivering his inaugural address at 3-days International Conference on Cooperative Development, Peace and Security in Central Asia: Challenges and Prospects at University of Kashmir here on Saturday Salman Khursheed said “ There were so many people in the past who have contributed a lot to the understanding of Central Asia and our relationship with it. Our relations with Central Asia -be it cultural, social, religious or economical developed in a very robust manner over the centuries and we are continuing to work on various other dimensions of bilateral relationship and this conference is a part of that overall continuous process.”
