A Massachusetts witness westbound along Route 2 at the Acton-Littleton line reports watching "a reflective black tube-shaped object traveling in an easterly direction" that was 30 feet long and 6 feet in diameter - "tumbling end over end" - between 2,000 and 3,000 feet in altitude, according to August 22, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

As the object descended, the witness stopped driving to get out and take a photograph.

"As I drove under it, I remembered I had my camera in the car," the witness stated. "I stopped in the area of the Newtown Road exit, and got out with my camera. The object was now at an altitude of 1,000-1,500 feet, still traveling east."

The witness submitted two photos with the MUFON report: Image # 1, and Image # 2.

Acton is in Middlesex County, population 21924. Littleton, also in Middlesex County, has a population of 8,924.The MUFON report was filed on August 22, 2011. The events occurred on July 31, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
