On 26 November, several mass media in the United States reported that the White House had been put on lockdown because of a very unusual reason: a strange ‘slow-moving blob’ had been hovering over its airspace.

Renowned news network CNN informed that “senior national security officials across the agencies convened to coordinate and monitor the situation after the mysterious ‘blob’ was seen on radar at the Capitol Police command centre flying just south of the National Mall”.

Since the airspace over Washington DC is heavily restricted, the incident was immediately investigated. “Senior officials across the interagency are monitoring the situation on a national event conference call. NORAD aircraft are on site and responding. Plane is not considered hostile at this time”, said Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Chris Mitchell, quoted by CNN.

Nonetheless, hours later, a USAF pilot who was flying over the area asserted that the object was “a flock of birds”. However, some people believe it was something different, including famous UFO researcher and writer Scott C. Waring, of UFO Sightings Daily.

Mr Waring is of the opinion that this object was not just a “plane” or a “flock of birds”. “A few days ago the White House reported that an airplane caused the White House to lock down and send up fighter jets to go investigate, but today they are changing their story”, he said. “Now they say it was an unidentified flying object seen on radar that appears to be blob shaped”, he continued.

“The US government has scrambled to try to explain the situation saying its birds or an outdated radar system, and even saying it’s a creation by the weather system; they even said this huge object could be a tiny drone”, the ufologist asserted. “This is absolutely a visit from alien craft. UFOs have been seen over Washington as far back as 1952. […] So you see, aliens have a high interest in the American President and the White House”, he expressed.
