Coronavirus: Bloc Quebecois outraged that Liberals, Conservatives using wage subsidy to fund themselves

Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet said Monday he is outraged that the federal political parties are tapping into the emergency wage subsidy program to keep their employees during the COVID-19 crisis.

In the above video, Blanchet tells an Ottawa news conference he does not believe the money should go to the Liberals and Conservatives.

The Liberal and Conservative parties are already receiving the 75 per cent wage subsidy, saying they want to avoid layoffs as donations dry up.

The NDP and Greens have both applied but have not yet been approved.

The Bloc Quebecois, which operates only in Quebec, has said it does not need the subsidy.
