Owen Sound: Border Pact undermines Canada's vital sovereignty

I was watching the CBC National news and its report about the new security laws the prime minister and Barack Obama have agreed upon.

Did anybody notice that the President of the United States almost made a slip of the tongue when it seemed he almost used the word "control" and changed it to "conduct" in his packaged speech to the media about new border security measures between Canada and the United States.

Our government, it seems , is going to give the American authorities information on Canadian citizens crossing the border.

I wonder if Canadian authorities are going to be afforded the same information about Americans from the Americans.

I see this as another nail in the coffin of Canadian sovereignty or have we ever been a sovereign nation?
