American singer links coronavirus outbreak with 5G technology

The coronavirus outbreak has raised concerns and many different theories on its origins, including those that state that it is linked to new technologies like the 5G. In any case, not only experts have debated on these theories, but also celebrities.

According to a recent report published by journalist Cedric Thornton on African-American online news site Black Enterprise, renowned American singer Keri Hilson has also joined the group of people that believe that 5G technology could be the keystone of the spread of the coronavirus.

“Singer Keri Hilson has declared, via Twitter, that the dreaded coronavirus may have been caused by the technology we know as 5G”, the journalist stated. “Hilson went on a [US President Donald] Trump-like Twitter spree on Sunday expressing concern that the COVID-19 outbreak was caused by exposure to the new 5G technology used by wireless networks”, he added.

In the opinion of Ms Hilson, coronavirus symptoms are triggered by the “effects of radiation”. “People have been trying to warn us about 5G for years. Petitions, organizations, studies… what we’re going through is the effects of radiation”, the singer tweeted. “5G launched in China on November 1, 2019. People dropped dead”, she added.

Mr Thornton also quoted the celebrity calling people to disable LTE connection on their phones. “The singer was urging her followers to ‘turn off 5G by disabling LTE’ on their phones, and she continued to post a series of screenshots from various articles that she felt backed up her theory on the radiation from 5G technology”, the author of the report mentioned. “As she continued to try to bring proof to her theory, she even said that it hasn’t affected Africa because it is “not a 5g region”, he continued.

“Why do you think the virus is not happening in Africa like that? [Because it is] not a 5G region. There may be a few bases there, but not as prevalent as other countries. It has nothing to do with melanin (for those theories)”, the pop star expressed.
