Look at these structures in this European Space Agency (ESA) photo passed on to me yesterday by one of our readers. What he found in the upper center of the photo is clearly writing.

I believe this is the name of a major Martian city that once existed long ago, but was destroyed in some kind of accident or war.

There are cities on Earth that have put the name of the city so big and bold on a hill so everyone will see it when they enter the city.

The city over from where I live has such a hill here in Taiwan.
