Ontario PC candidate in Willowdale skips debate

Our neighbourhood association, Willowdale N.E. Neighbourhood Association (WNENA) had an all-candidates meeting Sept. 21 in which all four candidates were invited. The only candidate to decline our invite was Willowdale Progressive Conservative candidate Vince Agovino.

WNENA executive and many of our members made appeals and requests to Agovino to attend. All our requests went on deaf ears. At our meeting it was clearly pointed out that Agovino has declined all invites to all-candidates meetings, not just ours.

He was only going to attend Roger's Dale Goldhawk TV show Thursday, Sept. 22nd, which he did. My email question about his no show at all-candidates meeting was asked and brought on a lively debate.

Is this the type of representative Willowdale wants, one who thinks canvassing is more important then meeting his constituents at all-candidates meeting? I think candidates can do both.

Sorry, you are not showing me the kind of representation I want from my next MPP at Queen's Park.
