Shell's Oil Drilling would destroy B.C.'s Most Endangered Rivers

The Sacred Headwaters is the source of three of North America's most important salmon-bearing rivers, and critical habitat for moose, bears, and caribou. And this year it was named as one of British Columbia's Most Endangered Rivers for the second year in a row. The reason: Royal Dutch Shell plans to drill for coalbed methane in this pristine area.

Shell has already drilled three wells. They plan to add over 4,000 more.

Due the risks associated with this project, B.C.'s government has placed a moratorium on Shell's plans. But the moratorium expires in just one year.

Tell B.C.'s government to make a plan to permanently protect the Sacred Headwaters and share that plan with the public.
