Dating: Partners decry rape when a relationship ends

The society of today has really changed from morals to how the law is handling cases. The extreme our laws can go sometimes leaves people wondering if we can still rely on them for protection and carrying out justice.

Many women today are going to courts accusing their partners of raping them when the relationship goes sour. Don’t forget this is after a long period of engaging in consensual sex. Such a case has been observed in the Indian community where Preeti an upcoming film star filed a case against Madhur a successful film director. The story has made headline in many of the Medias of that society.

How is it possible for a man to rape a woman who is not his wife or whom they have not been living together sixteen times within a period of three years? There would be just one answer to the question; the many times the intercourse happened must have been during voluntary meetings and whatever happened between them was consensual. May be the appropriate charges for a woman to file is infidelity charges but the spite and bitterness is too much and therefore the appropriate punishment would be rape charges.

If such cases are allowed in the communities then there will be thousands of rape cases. Many a times that it gets to a stage in a relationship that a man will tell a woman that they do not intend to marry them and if the woman decides, the best punishment for him is rape charges then there will be a very large number of cases falling in this category. Any couple involved in a live-in relationship, their sexual relationship is of a consensual nature.
