Trillions Of Billions Of Alien Robots Are About To Invade Earth, Scientist Suggests
Recently, renowned American astronomer Dr James Benford revealed in a very interesting paper a shocking hypothesis: in his opinión, extraterrestrial entities could be ready to use ‘co-orbital objects’ (for example, asteroids) to spy our planet.
Now, according to an article published on online news site Robotics and Automation News, Zaza Osmanov, a scientist from the University of Tbilisi (Georgia), seems to support Mr Benford’s ideas by declaring that “trillions of billions†of alien robots could invade Earth at any moment.
The article explains that these robots “are likely to be self-replicating alien robotsâ€, and for this reason “they could overwhelm our planet with some unimaginable numbersâ€.
“Osmanov bases his argument on the Fermi Paradox, a long-established concept that space is teeming with alien life, much of which could be more advanced than humansâ€, the report states. “Enrico Fermi, a celebrated scientist who died in the 1950s had guessed that alien life may be found beyond our galaxy, the Milky Way. Fermi’s postulation has led to generations of scientists looking for relatively large objects as evidence of aliensâ€, it continues.
However, for Mr Osmanov, Fermi’s theory could be wrong. Instead, he suggests that trillions of small alien-made objects might not have been detected by our conventional instruments. “The conventional approach to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence implies the search for artificial radio signals, or interstellar beacons targeted at the Earthâ€, Mr Osmanov wrote. “But… the mentioned method strongly restricts the searchâ€, he said.
“All the results [of space observations] indicate that if one detects a strange object with extremely high values of luminosity increment, that might be a good sign to place the object in the list of extraterrestrial Von-Neumann probe candidatesâ€, the Georgian astronomer asserted. â€We have considered the scenario when the Type-II civilization needs to ‘invade’ the interstellar clouds by means of the self-reproducing robots, and it has been shown that this process will inevitably lead to the observational consequencesâ€, he added.
Finally, the European scientist claims that “alien robots could use hydrogen atoms from interstellar dust to power themselves, and could easily self-replicate into a swarm numbering trillions of billionsâ€.
Draw your own conclusions…
